Miss Major Griffin-Gracy

The spirit of our school is embodied by our namesake, Miss Major Griffin-Gracy. Miss Major is a Black transgender activist who played a pivotal role in the Stonewall Uprising and has dedicated her life to advocating for the rights and well-being of transgender and gender-nonconforming individuals. Like her, our school will create a space where students are at the center of justice, where they are safe, heard, and affirmed.

Our incredible founding team consists of three lead educators, seven Board members, and ten members of the Trans+ / Queer Advisory Council.
