WHEN STARS ALIGN: SUPERNOVAS EMERGE.

I was lucky enough to have met Joji Florence (AKA J) at Bank Street Graduate School of Education. We were in sync and became fast allies during the SBL online program. Joji was passionate about building a school. In fact, while most of us were myopic about learning the skills of leadership and becoming future principals, Joji always had a more expansive view: They were going to “build a school.” In time, our SBL program came to an end but our affinity had only grown. Our goal of making a difference in the educational community aligned and we pulled each other into our spheres, giving access and opportunity to create a new vision, excavating the pathway for an exceptional middle school. It felt like magic and purpose were at play. The real work had to be done. Joji is gifted at connecting the right people. And without much delay, the puzzle pieces were chiseled into formation.
